4 virus deaths, fewer than 2,000 known active cases in El Paso

EL PASO, Texas (KVIA) -- The El Paso Department of Public Health announced four new coronavirus-related deaths and 74 new cases Friday morning.

The latest fatalities included:

  • 1 man in his 50s
  • 1 man in his 60s
  • 2 men in their 70s

El Paso County's pandemic death toll stands at 2,563.

There are 1,993 known active cases in El Paso, which is close to what the county was at last summer.

Since the start of the pandemic, there have been 134,670 confirmed cases and 130,071 reported recoveries,.
