Small fire, brief evacuation of far east El Paso Walmart store

El PASO, Texas -- A small fire that broke out Monday morning led to the brief evacuation of a Walmart store in far east El Paso.

Firefighters and ambulances were dispatched to the store on reports of a fire about 7:20 a.m. at the Walmart on Montana Avenue.

When fire crews arrived, they quickly determined the fire was small and downgraded their response.

Employees and others were briefly evacuated from the store until firefighters gave the all-clear.

No injuries occurred and the cause of the fire immediately known.
