Child critically injured after being struck by car in El Paso’s lower valley

EL PASO, Texas - A child was rushed to the hospital with serious injuries Saturday evening after being struck by a car in El Paso's lower valley, according to a El Paso police spokesman.

The call came in just after 6 p.m., according to a fire dispatch spokesman.

Neither police nor fire could release the child's age or gender. They could not yet say whether the driver stayed on scene.
