Small fire put out at Pebble Hills Elementary; video shows people running out as smoke alarms sound

EAST EL PASO, Texas - The sprinkler system at Pebble Hills Elementary extinguished a small fire in a classroom, according to a fire dispatch spokesman.

The call came in at about 7:15 p.m., he said. The fire was reportedly out before crews arrived. School was not in session at the time of the fire.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.

Video posted to the social media site FitFam shows a group of people running out of the school as smoke alarms sound.
