Fire crews save a cat while extinguishing a fire in west El Paso

UPDATE: According to officials, the fire was contained and one cat was saved from the fire. 13 fire units and 35 fire fighters responded to the incident at Chimney's Apartment complex.

Officials stated no injuries were reported although multiple apartments were damaged by the fire.

Investigators are at the scene and any affected residents will be assisted by the Red Cross.

EL PASO, Texas -- All units from the El Paso Fire Department responded to an apartment complex on fire at 200 North Festival.

The call came in at 12:01 P.M.

Fire crews are working to evacuate the building. No injuries are reported at this time.
