El Paso football legend Aaron Jones honors military heroes

EL PASO, Texas (KVIA) -- El Pasoan and NFL star Aaron Jones and his A&A All The Way Foundation have partnered with ashes-to-diamond company Eterneva, to give memorial diamonds to families who have lost a loved one in the military.

Eterneva uses the ashes, hair, or other token items of a loved one to create a one-of-a-kind diamond to keep forever. Every year, a representative for the A&A All The Way Foundation says it will gift one of these special diamonds to a military family who has lost a loved one.

In honor of Memorial Day, Jones and his foundation are encouraging families to apply to receive this special gift. Others can also nominate families by filling out the application on their behalf. The application is on the A&A All The Way Foundation website.

In August, Jones and his A&A All The Way Foundation will select one of the applicants. The family will be announced and recognized at the foundation’s gala later in the year.

Both Aaron and his brother have a special connection to the military. Both their mother and father were servicemembers. Jones' father passed away last year.
