El Paso District Attorney, Socorro ISD Police to address school threats

EL PASO, Texas (KVIA) -- Socorro ISD Police Chief George Johnson and El Paso District Attorney Bill Hicks are set to hold a news conference Monday afternoon to discuss two separate threats made against Montwood High School.

According to SISD, a 15-year-old girl made a false bomb threat on Sept. 27th that forced an evacuation of Montwood high. Classes were canceled for the rest of the day, she was arrested on Oct. 30.

On Oct. 27 a 16-year-old boy was arrested at his home in connection to an online threat made that same day.

Police said a picture was posted on social media of a teen holding a rifle.
