Man wanted for sexually abusing a child arrested in Northeast El Paso

EL PASO, Texas (KVIA) -- On Tuesday, the El Paso Sheriff's Office Fugitive Apprehension Unit took 25-year-old Jesus Javier Lopez into custody.

Officials say investigators received a tip about Lopez's whereabouts. He was arrested on the 5200 block of Joe Herrera Drive. That's north of Nations Tobin Park.

Officials say they booked Lopez into the El Paso County Detention Facility on a $75,000 bond on a charge of indecency and sexual contact with a child. According to the latest jail records, Lopez remains in custody.
