70-year-old man killed in motorcycle crash in Otero County

William Flowers, 70, from Linden, North Carolina, was killed when he crashed his motorcycle in Otero County, according to the New Mexico State Police.

Police said the crash happened around 9:11 p.m. Tuesday on U.S. 82 near Cloudcroft. According to police, Flowers was traveling west on U.S. 82 when, for an unknown reason, he hit a curve and crashed head-on into a car heading eastbound.

Flowers suffered serious injuries and was pronounced dead. The driver of the other vehicle involved was not injured.

Police said alcohol does not appear to be a factor in the crash. The crash is still under investigation.
