Zia Middle School employee has virus; 11 total cases in LCPS

MESILLA, New Mexico – An employee at Zia Middle School has tested positive for Covid-19, the Las Cruces Public Schools District announced Monday afternoon.

The school was closed as of 3:30 p.m. Monday for a deep cleaning. The building is expected to reopen on Oct. 1, officials said.

This case brings the total number of LCPS employees who have tested positive to 11.
