Barn Hunt is a fun-filled sniffing activity for dogs

LA MESA, New Mexico (KVIA) -- When it comes to keeping your dog active and healthy, what comes to mind? Most dog owners think of walking their dogs. Barn Hunt is a fun-filled sniffing activity for dogs.

Barn Hunt is a sport for dogs where they use their noses to locate live rats hidden in a maze of straw/hay. Since sniffing is a favorite activity for most dogs, they love this sport. It encourages natural behavior and gives them an outlet for their energy.

Barndoleros Dog Club is dedicated to providing a safe and fun environment to train and compete in the sport of Barn Hunt.

A competition event for dogs is on March 11th, at the power of dogs. It is open to all breeds of all sizes, 6 months and older.
