ABC-7 speaks with Las Cruces mayoral candidates ahead of Nov. 7 vote

LAS CRUCES, New Mexico (KVIA) -- In one week, Las Cruces voters will head to the polls to choose a new mayor.

Seven candidates are vying for the position: Kasandra Gandara, Eric Enriquez, Mariah J. Hernandez, Gina Ortega, Isabella Solis, Mike Tellez, and Alexander Fresquez.

We wanted to know what they'll do differently to address issues affecting the state's second largest city, including crime, drug and alcohol abuse, homelessness, and affordable housing.

We sat down with each candidates, and will be bringing you their responses each day on our 4 p.m. show.
