El Paso man arrested for making false police report; claimed officer caused his head to slam onto hood of car
EL PASO, Texas -- El Paso police say a man admitted he made up an account in which he claimed an officer caused him to slam his head against the hood of a car during an arrest while he was handcuffed.
Police say 29-year-old Ruben Venzor filed a complaint with the El Paso Police Department's Internal Affairs Division on July 5.
Police say video that captured the entire incident showed Venzor bend forward and strike his forehead against the hood of a patrol car without any force by the officer.
Venzor was arrested on Sept. 29 on a bond of $7,500.
