New COVID-19 Kiosks to provide free tests to those who are symptomatic

EL PASO, Texas -- The City of El Paso is rolling out new COVID-19 testing kiosks throughout the city starting Friday, one is already available.

The kiosks allow users to provide a nasal swab specimen with results provided within 48 hours from the test date.

According to the city, most kiosks will be open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Tests are free to those who are symptomatic, have been exposed or are at high risk, regardless of insurance status.

To register for a test using the kiosk, click here. You can also scan a QR code on the machine to access the registration app.

After registering and scanning your QR code, your test kit will be dispensed. You can drop off the specimen in the kiosk's collection box.

According to the city, results will be sent via text or e-mail within 48 hours from your test day.

For questions about your test results, you can call 800-402-0000 between 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, and on Saturday between 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Esperanza Acosta Moreno Branch Library

  • 12480 Pebble Hills, Open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, Located on the exterior of the building adjacent to the rear parking lot

Arturo “Tury” Benavides Cielo Vista Transit Center

  • 1165 Sunmount, Open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, Located on the exterior adjacent to other vending machines

Al Jefferson Westside Transit Center

  • 7535 Remcon, Open from 4:30 a.m. to 12:30 a.m., Located on the interior adjacent to other vending machines

University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP) *Now in operation

  • 3333 N. Mesa, Open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, Located on UTEP property (cross street is Kern Drive)
