Stabbing victim reports injury from Hanks High School

UPDATE: El Paso Fire Department has confirmed the juvenile was a student and suffered serious injuries.

Witnesses say a fight broke out on school grounds. That fight spilled over onto surrounding businesses. According to witnesses that fight ended with a student being stabbed in the back parking lot of Wienerschnitzel.

Witnesses say the student then ran to Hanks high school for help. Police have not confirmed this information as this is a developing story.

EL PASO, Texas (KVIA) -- El Paso police say a juvenile went to Hanks High School to report their injury. Police say the stabbing did not occur at the school.

It happened around 4:22 p.m. Police say the victim was taken to the hospital for treatment.
