Businesses in Downtown El Paso adjusting to increasing migrant presence

EL PASO, Texas (KVIA) -- ABC-7 has spoken with the owner of a convenience store in downtown El Paso who says his sales have greatly increased with the growth of the migrant population in the area.

That owner stated he adjusted his store to include a walk-up window to allow for quicker sales to migrants looking for food and other items.

ABC-7 crews on scene have seen hundreds of migrants living around Sacred Heart Church. It has been described as the heart of the migrant crisis in the borderland.

The expected lifting of CDC health order Title 42 is set for the evening of Thursday, May 11th. ABC-7 will provide complete team coverage of the expected migrant surge on that day.
