18-year-old rescued after being stranded for seven hours in the desert

SUNLAND PARK, New Mexico (KVIA) -- The Sunland Park Fire Department reported via twitter that their crews rescued an 18-year-old woman from the desert.

The fire department said she was stuck for around seven hours, and was rescued around 5:45 p.m.

The teenager suffered heat stroke and has been taken to Las Palmas Medical Center to receive medical care.
