El Paso Police arrest two men in shooting of two teens

EL PASO, Texas (KVIA) - El Paso Police arrest two men after two teen boys reported a shooting in south central El Paso.

It happened on Saturday, September 5 in the 100 block of S. Eucalyptus. Police officers arrived to find a 15-year-old and a 16-year-old who told police they were sitting in a vehicle and "were approached and fired upon".

An investigation conducted by the El Paso Police Gang Unit determined 17-year-old Martin Guadalupe Rodriguez and 19-year-old Deven Barrios were involved.

The two men were arrested and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

Police say several handguns, rifles and ammunition were also recovered.

Rodriguez faces additional charges of resisting arrest, search or transport and evading arrest or detention.

Both remain in the El Paso County Jail.

Police say the investigation continues.
