NMSU stair climb in remembrance of 9/11

LAS CRUCES, NM (KVIA) - New Mexico State University hosted a stair climb early Friday morning in remembrance of the close to 3,000 lives lost during 9/11.

Members of the NMSU Army ROTC, along with campus police and fire departments and members from the City of Las Cruces police and fire all attended the event.

The 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb is a time for everyone to honor the lives lost and remember the heroes.

The Honor Guard presented the Colors, followed by a procession of uniformed bag pipers leading the climbers to the stairs.

It was a diverse mix of civilian and uniformed participants who showed the community's unity as they showed their respects.
