ABC-7 First Alert: Flood Watch issued for all of the Borderland until Wednesday morning

The National Weather Service has issued a Flood Watch for all of the Borderland including El Paso and Las Cruces. The watch will go into effect Monday afternoon through Wednesday morning.

Flooding could be caused by heavy rainfall is possible because of tropical moisture from Hurricane Polo Monday and Tuesday which will bring widespread showers and isolated thunderstorms to the region.

The Borderland is already heavily saturated from the excessive rainfall last week and the already saturated soil will make the flood threat more likely through Wednesday!
