Americas hands Franklin first loss of the season; other scores from Thursday night

Thursday night football in the Sun City saw another undefeated team get their first loss of the season.

This time it was the Franklin Cougars.

A district 1-6A matchup against Americas, the Cougars entered the night with a 5-0 record, but the Americas Trail Blazers handed them their first loss, defeating the Cougars by a final score of 17-13.

Americas improves to 5-1 on the season, while Franklin falls to 5-1 on the season as well, but the difference now is that Americas is 1-0 in district play, while Franklin is 0-1 in district play.
