AUSTIN, Texas - It wasn't how the Americas Trail Blazers were hoping to end their season, but it didn't take away from the journey and all the Blazers accomplished.

Friday afternoon in Austin, Americas lost to O'Connor, 7-5 in the 6A softball state semi-final game.

The Blazers jumped out to an early 3-0 lead in the first inning, but the Panthers would retake the lead in the third, 4-3.

The difference in the game came in the bottom of the 4th inning with the game tied at 5.

O'Connor's Jada Munoz would hit a 2-run home run to break the deadlock and give the Panthers the 7-5 lead.

The Panthers would never look back and hold on to advance to Saturday's championship game.

Despite falling short in the semi-final, it was an incredible run for the Americas Trail Blazers.

They became just the second team from El Paso to make it to the final four of the state softball tournament.
