MORAGA, California - It's been a long road trip for the New Mexico State Aggies, and the fatigue certainly showed in Wednesday's 81-68 loss against the Gaels from Saint Mary's.

It was NMSU's third straight road game in 7 days, and it was against a tough Saint Mary's team out of the West Coast Conference.

NMSU's only lead of the game came in the first three minutes of the first half.

Once Saint Mary's regained the lead, the Gaels never looked back.

Saint Mary's would go into halftime up 35-26.

In the second half, the Aggies would cut the Gael's lead to 7, but that was as close as the Aggies would get.

Saint Mary's would go on a run finding success from behind the three-point line to go up by as much as 20 points.

Four Gaels would end the night in double figures.

Four Aggies would also end the game in double figures with NMSU's Deshawndre Washington leading the way in scoring for the Aggies with 20 points.

NMSU's overall record now stands at 5-4 on the season.

That wraps up a three game road swing that saw the Aggies fall to Santa Clara and Saint Mary's, but also saw the Aggies victorious in Sunday's game against Duquesne.

The Aggies will now return to the comforts of home as their next game will be Sunday against Northern New Mexico.

Sunday's game tips-off at 4 p.m. from the Pan American Center.
