EL PASO, Texas (KVIA) -- Three plays are up for the cupcakes from Week 11 to earn the Sweet Play of The Week, sponsored by Albertsons.
First play, the Bel Air Highlanders looking to keep pace with the Del Valle Conquistadores. Bel Air QB Noah Moreno scrambles to his left and hits WR Mark Mukiibi who dashes down the sideline and scores.
Second nominee, it's a New Mexico playoff battle between the Mayfield Trojans and the Gadsden Panthers. Fourth quarter and the Trojans are down, Mayfield QB Luke Linnan fakes the handoff and throws a bomb to TE Brian Coyle for the touchdown. That score marks the game winner as Mayfield advances.
Final nominee this week, Bowie QB Abraham Carrasco finds WR Antonio Ontiveros who escapes an ankle tackle and dives for the touchdown! He's able to extend and get across the plane, giving the Bears a touchdown.
