UTEP golf begins first Mountain West season at USC tournament tomorrow

EL PASO, Texas – UTEP will play the first of five fall events, teeing off the season at USC’s Bomb Darts Birds Intercollegiate on Sept. 7-8 in Phoenix, Ariz., at Whirlwind Golf Club (par 72 | 7,222 yards) on Monday and Tuesday. The new season also marks the first as a Mountain West program. 

The first two rounds will be played on Monday, with the first 18 holes starting at 8 a.m. PT/9 MDT (shotgun start), while round two will begin at 1:30 p.m. PT/2:30 MDT (continuous play). Tuesday’s final round will tee off at 7:45 a.m. PT/8:45 MDT (shotgun start). 

Competing for the Miners are Marc Keller, Patrick Foley, Julien Dulait, Luke Harwick, and Alexandre Godin. Valentin Luna will play as an individual. Dulait and Harwick will make their UTEP debuts on Monday.

The Miners will go against host USC, Arkansas State, Baylor, Cal, Eastern Michigan, Fresno State, James Madison, NM State, Santa Clara, Stanford, ULM and Washington State.
