UTEP men’s golf drops five spots to finish 12th at Tucker Invitational

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. -- UTEP (282-289-293—863) dropped five spots after shooting a 293 in the final round and finished in 12^th place at the 71^st William H. Tucker Invitational hosted by New Mexico at the UNM Championship Course (par 72 | 7,555 yards) on Saturday.

Julien Dulait (70-70-74) led the Miners, tied for 26^th overall at 2-under par 214. Dulait dropped 15 spots after his round-three score. Dulait tallied a team-high 16 birdies, which tied for fourth most in the field.

Marc Keller (70-77-69—216) shot up 21 spots (tied for 35^th) after shooting 3-under par in round three. Keller had 14 birdies, including eight in the final round. 

Patrick Foley (72-71-73—216) also finished tied for 35^th. Foley recorded 11 birdies.

Luke Harwick (70-75-76—221) dropped 26 spots to tie for 63^rd. Harwick had 12 birdies and bogeyed at 14 in the third round. 

Alexandre Godin (76-73-78—227) tied for 79^th. Godin had seven birdies. 

Emilio Arellano (76-82-76—234) competed as an individual, finishing 88^th. Arellano registered seven birdies. 

San Diego State’s Brayden Forte (66-67-70—203) and New Mexico’s Johnnie Clark (67-69-67—203) tied for the individual championship. Santa Clara’s Emil Nielsen (66-64-75—205) finished third, two strokes behind the leaders. 

San Diego State (277-284-272—833) won the team title, while host UNM (275-286-278—839) was second and BYU (278-286-279—843) rounded out the top three.
