The Chihuahuas had a tough week in Tacoma, losing five of six games

TACOMA, Washington (KVIA) -- The Tacoma Rainiers beat the El Paso Chihuahuas 9-2 Sunday to win five of the six games in the series.

Tacoma found three runs in the first inning on Sunday and tacked on another two in the second. The Dogs on the other hand wouldn't get their first hit until the 3rd inning and the first run until the fifth.

San Diego Padres outfielder Adam Engel who is with the Chihuahuas on a rehab assignment had a two-run home run to left field for the dogs lone two runs of the day.

Chihuahuas catcher Pedro Severino went 2-for-3 in the loss. El Paso first baseman Rangel Ravelo reached base twice on a single and a walk Sunday.

The Chihuahuas do not play on Monday, but they will be back at home on Tuesday for a six game series against Salt Lake. First pitch is at 6.35 p.m.
