Halftime Update: San José State with a 7-0 lead

UTEP Athletics

El Paso, TX (KVIA) -- UTEP and San José State are battling at the Sun Bowl in a Mountain West matchup, with the Miners forced to make a quarterback change before halftime.

UTEP quarterback EJ Colson was sacked three times before going down with an injury, forcing the Miners to turn to Raymond Moore III under center.

Moore now takes over the offense as UTEP looks to adjust on the fly and find momentum heading into the second half.

The Miners entered Saturday looking to bounce back after a 30-13 loss to Nevada last week. UTEP will need to regroup offensively and find ways to protect their quarterback as the battle against the Spartans continues.
