Christopher Zarate is a born and raised El Paso native with over 20 years of sales experience. After graduating from Coronado High School, he traded his T-bird feathers for a pickaxe and became a UTEP Miner. While at UTEP, Christopher pledged to the Alpha Kappa Lambda Fraternity. During his time spent with Alpha Kappa Lambda, Chris found not only lifelong comradery with his fellow brothers but success as a Chapter Adviser, a role from which he received national recognition.

After graduating in 2000, Chris began his career in media advertising, the first stop on his journey being employment with the WB. It did not take long for Chris to establish himself as a one-man sales force, gaining him attention and inevitably a position at Clear Channel Outdoor. Inspired, Chris consumed every piece of information on advertising he could get his hands, learning about all different forms of marketing: outdoor, radio, print, and even Spanish-language advertising. Chris’s natural zeal and unstoppable drive eventually lead him to cross paths with his true passion: broadcast and digital advertising. Currently, Chris is in role as the director of sales for KVIA ABC-7, where he uses his two decades of experience to empower local businesses to build competitive advertising campaigns. With his vast knowledge of advertising that ranges across multiple different platforms, Chris has truly become a “Jack of all Trades”, in the world of media marketing.

When Chris isn’t hard at work helping businesses build business, he is at home with his wife and two beautiful daughters. A mega fan, one of his most prominent characteristics is his unwavering dedication to the Star Wars universe, it does not matter time or place, Chris is always ready and willing to geek out with a fellow fan. Forever an athlete one of his most notable pastimes is racing in The Spartan Marathon, a race that he has traveled all over the United States to compete in and successfully completed 11 times.
