West El Paso woman killed in single-vehicle rollover

UPDATE - El Paso Police identified the person killed in this early morning rollover.

Monica Gabriela Saenz, 36, was a passenger in a 2015 Cadillac Escalade driven by Vincent Manuel Soto, 36.

STI says Soto was westbound on I-10 when the Escalade struck the right guardrail near Schuster causing it to rollover.

The force of the rollover ejected Saenz who died at the scene.

Emergency crews had to extricate Soto from the SUV and taken to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries.

This is the city's 59th traffic fatality of the year compared to 57 same time last year.

STI continues their investigation.

EL PASO, Texas - One person has died as a result of a rollover crash in West El Paso, according to police.

Officials said that the crash was a single-vehicle rollover.

The crash happened on I-10 West and Schuster Avenue, by UTEP's campus.

Special Traffic Investigators were called out to the scene early.

Traffic at I-10 West is being diverted to exit Porfirio Diaz.
