El Paso Police identify bicyclist killed in deadly overnight hit-and-run

UPDATE: Investigators are looking for a driver who struck and killed a bicyclist overnight in east El Paso.

Police have identified the victim as 26-year-old Austin Brazda.

According to police, Brazda was riding his bicycle in the right southbound lane of 1300 George Dieter when he was hit by a car that did not stop to render aid.

Police say three other vehicles managed to avoid Brazda in the roadway.

The car that hit Brazda is described as white or light in color. But no other information was available.

Police are asking for anyone with information to call 915-832-4400, or remain anonymous by calling Crime Stoppers of El Paso at 915-566-8477.

EL PASO, Texas - A person was killed in a hit-and-run involving a car and bicyclist overnight.

The crash happened at the intersection of Gateway Blvd and George Dieter Drive, according to first responders.

The collision occurred around midnight Tuesday morning, according to police.
