EL PASO, Texas — A drunk driver was clocked over the weekend speeding at over 130 miles an hour along Interstate 10, El Paso police said Monday.

The arrest of 45-year-old Omar Murillo occurred early Saturday morning along I-10 west at Lee Trevino.

Officials said he was snagged by EPPD's Driving While Intoxicated task force, which was involved in stepped-up traffic enforcement efforts over the Memorial Day holiday weekend.

Murillo was being held in the El Paso County Detention Facility under $2,000 bond on a DWI charge.
