ABC-7 FIRST ALERT: Strong winds return next week, blowing dust and sand possible

El Paso, Texas-- The ABC-7 StormTrack Weather team has kept the ABC-7 First Alert in place as strong winds are expected to make a return by next week.

This weekend will continue on a hot note as Sunday temperatures will run about 10 degrees above normal. Our next storm system moves in Monday night into Tuesday. This will bring strong winds to the Borderland Monday and
to lesser degree on Tuesday.

Some showers will develop in the far west Monday night and spread to most of the area Tuesday into
Wednesday. Temperatures will cool back below normal Tuesday and Wednesday.

The remainder of the week looks dry and heating back to well above normal by next weekend.
