ABC-7 First Alert continues – Strong winds through tonight and tomorrow; snow chance early AM

A potent winter storm visits town at an unlikely time. Strong SW winds will gust to 40 mph tonight and 50 mph overnight. As a cold front arrives from the NW early tomorrow AM those gusty winds will have a bite. Wind chills will make it feel very cold - feel as if temperatures are in the low 20s! As actual air temperatures drop to the low and mid 30's, what moisture moves in will quickly transition to light snow with what appears to be less than 0.5" - with a dusting more likely.

Winds will slowly decrease as we transition to Thursday afternoon and evening. Drier air with clearing skies.
