Storms hit the Las Cruces area Monday evening.

The ABC-7 First Alert is now over. Earlier Monday evening, some scattered showers and storms moved just south and east of Las Cruces. Gusty winds and rain raced through the area with rainfall amounts estimated at just over one-quarter of an inch in spots.

Nice weather for tomorrow and Wednesday. A cold front arrives later Wednesday and Thursday to kick up the winds and bring us cooler weather in the 70's for the weekend.
