ABC 7 FirstAlert: A quiet weather pattern ends this week as a cold front arrives

We are under an ABC 7 First Alert because of a major cold front that we will see at the end of your work week.

For today and tomorrow, the quiet weather pattern will continue across the Borderland through tomorrow topping out in the upper sixties and lower seventies, but these seasonal temperatures will last until the end of the week as a cold front will be arriving.

With this front, the Borderland will see windy conditions Friday and Saturday with wind gusts as high as forty-five miles per hour in the Borderland. On Friday, the winds will be out of the west ahead of the cold front with the highest wind gusts, but then the winds will then turn out of the east-northeast. With this wind, speeds will be lower but these winds will be accompanied by cooler temperatures.

By Sunday, winds will calm down.

Overall, the Borderland will see a lot colder temperatures than today, possibly in the upper twenties as the daily low by Sunday morning.

Unfortunately, with this system, we may not see much moisture.
