Keeping your pipes safe with temperatures dropping near freezing this weekend

EL PASO (KVIA) -- ABC-7's StormTrack Weather team is forecasting low temperatures below freezing for both Sunday, December 10th and Monday, December 11th.

The sub-zero temperatures overnight may need residents to take extra precautions to keep their home safe and warm.

Water can expand as it freezes, which can lead to pipe damage or even worse, bursts, according to information from the American Red Cross.

ABC-7 will be speaking with a local company, Liberty Plumbing, on how you can make sure your homes are secured with upcoming frigid conditions. Watch our evening newscasts to learn more.
