ABC-7 First Alert: Temperatures will rapidly heat up again; more triple-digit days are expected.
Some thunderstorms hit the area this afternoon and evening, dropping small hail along with gusty winds. Some parts of town - west side - picked up around .10" - .50" of rain north to south along Interstate 10. Central and eastern El Paso County did not see as much rain, with most amounts around .10" or less. The El Paso airport recorded .05". Peak wind gusts hit 52 mph, causing some blowing dust and sand.
Now we draw attention to the heat. Temperatures will climb between 102 - 106 degrees for Thursday through Monday of next week. Father's Day will be hot - with a high at 106.
