ABC-7 StormTrack Weather: Temperature drop on the way, rain chances increase!

EL PASO, Texas (KVIA) -- We are no longer under an ABC-7 First Alert as temperatures will start to trend downward. Rain chances will increase through the weekend.

This morning we started off with temperatures in the 70s. We were a bit cooler to start then we've been experiencing the past few days. Today will be cooler but don't let that fool you we are still expecting to reach a highs in the triple digits. El Paso is expected to reach a high of 103, Las Cruces is expected to reach a high of 103.

Temperatures will continue cooling through our weekend. By next week we could get some minor relief from the triple digit heat with temperatures expected to dip to the 90s.

Rain chances will also increase through your weekend.

Light rain chances remain for tonight's forecast.
