ABC-7 First Alert – Storms pound a good portion of El Paso. Hail and gusty winds accompanied the heavy rain.

Showers and storms once again hit part of El Paso hard Friday evening and night. The rain hit just after a Haboob swept across town. Rainfall amounts of around 1" of rain fell on the east side along with several reports of pea to marble sized hail. Peak wind gusts hit 62 mph out at the El Paso Airport. There were some reports of minor damage in that area. The El Paso airport (official site) picked up .52"

The weekend should be calmer with just an isolated storm possible and temperatures around 100.
