EL PASO, Texas (KVIA) -- Storm chances are picking up today and into your weekend!

Many in East El Paso woke to active rainfall and light winds. Rain impacts aren't over just yet. We are tracking potential for another round of rain pushing into the Borderland later tonight with rain chances picking up even further for your Friday.

Along with rainfall, we woke to temps in the 70s. By lunch expect El Paso to reach a high of 96, Las Cruces 94, both staying shy of triple digits today.

Expect temperatures to remain in the 90s through your weekend with elevated rain chances also continuing for your weekend plans..
