ABC-7 First Alert: Storm chances climb today!

EL PASO, Texas (KVIA) -- We are under an ABC-7 First Alert for storm chance and gusty outflow risk.

We woke his morning to breezy conditions and temps in the upper 70s to low 80s. This afternoon El Paso is expected to reach a high of 101 and Las Cruces 100.

Rain chances increase to 20-30% for isolated storms. Some of those storms could more severe. We could also feel the impact of gusty outflow winds. Everyone will not experience rainfall as storms are expected to be scattered.

Rain chances will continue everyday through midweek next week. Temperatures will also start to ease of of dangerously hot levels.
