ABC-7 First Alert: Monday’s cold front brings colder temperatures, wind and chances for showers

Iris Lopez

The ABC-7 StormTrack Weather team has issued an ABC-7 First Alert for changes in the forecast beginning late Monday.

For Sunday, temperatures will warm to levels nearly 10 degrees above the daily average. Dry conditions and partly sunny skies are expected.

Monday will bring a big change to the region as a strong backdoor cold
front pushes in from the east. Expect gusty east winds and cooling
temperatures after mid day. Some locations east and south may see
some precipitation as the front pushes through. After a near
freezing night Monday night, Tuesdays will be about 25 degrees
cooler than today.

The rest of the week looks dry with a slow
warming trend.
