Light showers will move across northern portions of the region today ahead of a low-pressure system that is impacting California. Drier weather is in store for the region tonight with the weather story shifting to the winds by Thursday. On Thursday, winds will impact east slopes of the area mountains. Those of you that live in the east and northeast sides of town will experience wind gusts up to 35 mph. The next chance for rain and stronger winds will be on Sunday and Monday.
