ABC-7 First Alert: Strong winds, much cooler next week

An ABC-7 First Alert is in effect for a strong system that will bring strong west to southwest winds to the borderland Monday.

The windy conditions will develop early Monday and peak between 11 am and 5 pm. Some locations will see peak wind gusts to 50 mph.

A cold front will usher in much colder air Tuesday and Wednesday with lingering rain and snow showers across.
