ABC-7 First Alert: Heatwave hits the borderland, cold front and rain to follow

An ABC-7 First Alert has been issued for hot temperatures Monday afternoon. Dangerous heat indices will impact the area as temperatures range from 104 to 106 degrees.

Make sure you are aware of signs the heat-related illnesses, drink plenty of water.
Tuesday and Wednesday Thursday there will be a chance for isolated showers and thunderstorms which could produce lightning, strong winds and blowing dust, small hail, and spotty rainfall.

Dry and hot conditions will return by the end of the week into the weekend.
