StormTrack Weather: Cold front brings high winds and a big temperature drop

A strong cold front moved through the region early Monday morning ushering in cooler air and strong winds.

The ABC-7 WeatherNet sites reported gusts up of 54 mph at the Texas Tech Transmountain campus. High temperatures will run about 20 degrees cooler than yesterday's record high temperatures.

The rest of the week looks to remain quiet with temperatures warming back into the upper 80s and low 90s.
