StormTRACK Weather: Flooding remains a threat Monday

Scattered showers and thunderstorms will remain a threat Monday afternoon. Record rainfall pounded the east side, uprooted trees, and flooded roadways Sunday afternoon.

Light to moderate showers moved through the east side again Monday morning. Keep in mind that the grounds are saturated any more rain this afternoon could lead to flash flooding. Officially the airport recorded 1.93 inches of rain but some areas picked up over 2 inches of rain.

The monsoon moisture will linger making it an uncomfortably humid afternoon with temperatures topping off in the 90s.

Most of the region will be under partly to mostly cloudy skies with a 20 percent chance for showers and thunderstorms.
