Good Morning! It will be another warm December day with temperatures running above average. The forecast looks great for those of you that need to finish shopping for holiday gifts.

Temperatures will remain warm due to an upper ridge, it will move slowly east across the Rockies. South winds will increase around 5 to 15 mph, stronger around the Sacramento Mountains.

Today's high temperatures will reach the 60s to lower 70s in the El Paso/Las Cruces area, cooler around the area mountains.

The winds will increase Friday through the holiday weekend as a system tracks north. This weather system will bring a chance for rain to the area.

I do think that the best chance will be in areas west of El Paso. Rain chances and the winds will continue through the beginning of next week. Seasonal normals will also return next week.
