StormTRACK Weather: Some showers this morning before drier conditions move in

El Paso, Texas- Early this morning, showers and thunderstorms were seen trekking north into Otero County. Doppler radar showed heavy rainfall near Alamogordo and Tularosa along US-70 & US-54. These storms have now fallen apart.

El Paso and Las Cruces will continue to see an increase in precipitation chances for today, however, it will be drier than yesterday. Storm chances will be favored for areas west of the Rio Grande.

Highs will be in the 100s once again with storm chances every afternoon this weekend.

I'm watching weather models Sunday night into early next week. Current estimates indicate a big push of moisture will funnel into the viewing area which will help ignite a healthy amount of storms.
